Review-Configurations Print Tray Shadow Box by Tim Holtz Idea-ology

graves-002Today I would like to review for you the Configurations Print Tray Shadow Box by Tim Holtz Idea-ology. You can see here that I used this tray to feature pictures and mementos from my Cox great grandparents.

I really had a fun time creating this. Because it is made of paper, the boxes painted nicely, or they would look great left alone. They did soak up a lot of paint, so it took more paint than I thought. The thing I LOVE about this tray is the boxes can be reconfigured in several different arrangements. There are some sample configuration ideas that come with the instructions.

Tomorrow I am going to talk about the meanings of the individual boxes that I did.

The only cons some people might have is it is fairly shallow, but it was fine for what I wanted. Some Amazon reviewers complained there was not glass so they did not feel it was a “shadow box”. My only complaint is there is not a way to hang it. Here are some specific about this product.

  •  Configurations Print Tray Shadow Box measures 11.5 x 1 x 16.25-inch
  • An arrangement of compartments or elements of a framed box used to display treasured objects or findings
  • Completely customizable
  • Made of 100-Percent paper
  • By designer Tim Holtz Idea-ology

I hope you will have as much fun with this as I did. If any of you make one I would love to see it!
