Treasure Chest Thursday-War Ration Book

mom and dad-002For Treasure Chest Thursday I want to share with you the WWII war ration book belonging to my dad. This find is full of fun information like his address, height and weight hair color. Looks like it was signed by my grandmother. Very cool!

I scanned all the pages and the coupons so I could assemble them all on one page. I think it is more interesting to see all the pages of the book at once. This also means I can share this page with family without worrying about handling the originals all the time. Plus, everyone can’t have an original!

The page was created using the My Memories Suite software. Check out my review here.

The background paper is from the Faded Memories 1 Combo Pack by designer Everything Erica.

Don’t forget I will be giving away a free copy of My Memories Digital Scrapbooking software ($39.97 value) to one of my lucky readers!

  1. That is too cool. We saw my aunt a few weekends ago and she gave my dad letters my grandfather had written from the war to his parents. I was so intrigued by them.

  2. Nice war ration book, I tried as hard as I could to read it and I think it says up to ten years in prison or 30,000k fine if you break any of the rules of the ration book! Crazy! Thanks for sharing this!
