Vintage Nightgown

Marie-003This beautiful vintage nightgown was made for my great grandmother Nellie Gamble Cox, by her mother Sallie Umphress Gamble. A while back I took some pictures of Miss E (my daughter) in this gown. It is hard to show the details because of the color of the gown, so I scanned the lace on the top and used it as the embellishment on these pages.

Marie-002This scrapbook page is Sallie Humphress Gamble in the frame, her daughter Nellie Gamble Cox, and my daughter Miss E in the gown. This would be Miss E’s third Great Grandmother! How neat for her to be able to appreciate heirlooms from so many generations back.
